The warm, inviting classrooms were reminiscent of the classrooms my husband I learned in, nearly 30 years ago! The curriculum encourages inclusivity, curiosity, and independence. Our boys have had the opportunity to learn about many different cultures and holidays; experience a variety of enrichment programs, all while being well-prepared academically to enter the public school system. We look forward to our third son enrolling at RoxWes next year.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/5ba8cb2a-9d83-4440-ae58-026d5c676338/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+10.00.49+AM.jpg Testimonials - Onika, RoxWes Parent “We feel that RoxWes helped contribute to our children’s eagerness to learn and explore their talents, and sets a foundation for students to be prepared for the daily schedules of kindergarten. Our children enjoy the activities created by the Roxwes teaching staff. The staff are fully engaged with the parents so that we are fully aware of their class days. As a parent, this is encouraging to see our children’s enjoyment when they come home and begin by discussing how much FUN they had during the day.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/d9e7cf9a-ec43-4095-8944-2c5d1100be42/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.59.41+AM.jpg Testimonials - Ramesh, Alumnus “Throughout my life, I have never struggled to be open to sharing moments with people who do not look like me. I realize that my openness roots itself in many different sources, such as being a part of a multi-cultural household, and my parents' views, but one program particularly stands out in beginning my journey stepping across racial and cultural bounds: Roxbury Weston Preschool.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/9596d735-6732-4a10-bffd-af3d54e7aab8/Melissa+Rosales.jpg Testimonials - Melissa, RoxWes Parent "We feel so fortunate to have found a preschool like Roxbury Weston. Our family has had 2 of 3 boys attend RoxWes. It has been a place where my kids felt safe and excited to go to school each day. The teachers’ patience, creativity, and love have made their experience one of positivity and growth. They’ve learned so much during their time there and we are grateful beyond words. We have enjoyed RoxWes so much that we will have our youngest attend in the upcoming school year." https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/e72b9ed1-ff63-479a-85e5-156c55e93038/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.43.04+AM.jpg Testimonials - Loni, Alumna “Roxbury Weston was the start of a really great foundation upon which I later built some truly genuine friendships. Friendships that have supported me through Graduation from Weston High School, College and Marriage. I had the comfort of my Parent/ Teacher’s presence at RoxWes to help me navigate the social and cultural differences. Nevertheless, it was then and remains now, every parents responsibility, duty and challenge to do the same for their child if the goal is to continue to celebrate diversity.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/1633960686259-U95HM0SKSBLDM4JLT7Q9/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.57.56+AM.png Testimonials - Denise, Retired RoxWes Teacher “It has truly been a blessing to experience Roxbury Weston from the perspective of teacher and parent. Roxbury Weston sets the stage for a wonderful diverse opportunity to play out. Our role as parents, more today than ever, is to carry out the mission and to teach our children that our differences don’t matter. What matters is that we treat one another the way we want to be treated. My belief accounts for my longevity at Roxbury Weston: my belief and love for God, the little people and their incredible families and the fun, loving and dedicated teachers”. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/d2106936-8683-4583-a6c4-567e8f71d96e/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.50.46+AM.jpg Testimonials - Dr. Washington, CAYL Institute Founder & Authority in Early Childhood Education “As a former consultant to Roxbury Weston, and an observer of this field for many decades I can say this: Roxbury Weston has been in the vanguard of equity with high early childhood education for 50 years. This fact is worth remembering in this current era that is emphasizing social justice. The program is a jewel. Our communities need this as an example of what is possible for all children.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/5e6d57dd-731d-44d8-a3d8-ca6b99331ab0/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.47.48+AM.jpg Testimonials - Henry, Alumnus & Board Member “At 3 years old, I called Roxbury Weston the ‘Ladder School’ - because what struck me about the school was that it had ladders inside AND outside where my friends and I could climb. It didn’t strike me that we looked different or came from different places. Having this cultural exchange from such an early aged has shaped the rest of my life.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/035745e7-33eb-43ed-b859-0a1f7fa57e39/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.48.34+AM.jpg Testimonials - Joshua, Alumnus “Roxbury Weston Preschool will always be special to my family and I. It was the sturdy foundation needed to succeed in WPS. I remember from day one feeling so comfortable and at home there. The teachers were/are very special, and some of the best I had. To this day 13 years later, still traveling in from Boston with some of the same friends, and arriving at school to see those same faces from Preschool is remarkable. RoxWes truly is family and a has left positive impact on the lives of so many lucky enough to attend school there.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/1e73e5af-bc4f-4048-a7fc-7d5432982f33/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.46.50+AM.jpg Testimonials - Roshani, Alumna “It always amazes me how much impact Roxbury Weston had on me throughout my time in Weston Public schools and beyond. There is a particular bond that is created from Roxbury Weston. With my friends who remained in Weston Public Schools since pre school, we always had a connection that was incredibly special because we had been together since Roxbury Weston. To me, the power of Roxbury Weston is that is sets up students, especially Boston students, to have a foundation of friendship and stability in the Weston community. For me, it set up a certain comfort in the Weston community that I’m not sure I would’ve had without Roxbury Weston.” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/d30d1f65-1fd6-4613-945a-17e3df87d32d/Screen+Shot+2021-10-11+at+9.55.30+AM.jpg Testimonials - Dr. Hagan, Previous RoxWes Director & MA Department of Higher Education “RoxWes families were Freedom Riders, RoxWes teachers earned NAEYC Accreditation when less then 8% of programs nationwide were doing so. It is a proud history. Many people, both white and people of color, have been leading and supporting RoxWes from the outset- when two ministers, one from Weston and one from Roxbury, met in Selma, Alabama marching for Civil Rights in the 1960’s.” https://www.roxwes.org/giving/donate daily 0.75 2024-11-04 https://www.roxwes.org/admissions daily 0.75 2026-10-22 https://www.roxwes.org/roxbury-weston-team daily 0.75 2026-08-28 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cb5efbada50d34b52ddee41/fedd1998-1cf9-4b26-9dab-3e832491990b/8D7C0228-5C4A-4205-85C5-0601BDE77134.jpeg Roxbury Weston Team - Robin Levin, Executive Director Robin is a graduate of Lesley University and is Director II qualified through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
