Educational Philosophy: The educational program at Roxbury Weston Programs Preschool recognizes the developmental needs of the whole child with equal emphasis placed on physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. Children at the Preschool learn through experimentation and investigation. The staff, in cooperation with parents, nurtures childrens development, anticipates their growth, and shares their efforts and successes. The classrooms are designed to offer children security to work and play in a safe, happy and stimulating environment. Teachers design the curriculum to meet each childs individual interests and needs, understanding that each child learns at his or her own pace in his or her own way and time.
Family Involvement: Family involvement is vital to Roxbury Weston Programs! To help us fulfill our vision of bringing families together, all families are involved in some way. Parents most actively participate in annual Preschool events and fundraisers. There are many opportunities from which to choose.
Preschool Accreditation: Roxbury Weston Programs Preschool has the distinction of being accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. This prestigious recognition has been achieved by only 10 per cent of early childhood programs nationwide.
Research supports the value of accreditation for children. Childrens language skills and social skills especially benefit from the better quality found in accredited programs. These skills are critical for childrens success.
